April marks Second Chance Month (SCM), a nationally-recognized celebration of second chances, fresh starts, and breaking barriers for people who have been incarcerated and deserve a second chance. The purpose is to raise awareness about the obstacles faced by between 70 million and 100 million nationally, or as many as one in three Americans with a criminal record.
