ACLA COMMUNITY BABY SHOWER
MARK YOUR CALENDARS for the ACLA Community Baby Shower scheduled for Tuesday, June 30th, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 6 p.m. The shower will be held at YWCA Women’s Empowerment Center located at 1690 North Blvd. Baton Rouge, LA 70802. We hope that someone from your organization can join us as a vendor for this special event to celebrate our new and expectant parents. Anyone in the community who is pregnant, or a new parent, is invited to attend. Participants will have the opportunity to enjoy lunch and visit our Vendor Area in the center. Attendees will enjoy a shower with games, prizes, speakers, and great information about their babies.

2025 SECOND CHANCE TUESDAY HOLIDAY CELEBRATION DONATIONS NEEDED!
This holiday season, many of our Second Chance Tuesday participants are working hard to rebuild their lives, but the basics can still feel out of reach. Donations of any amount are being taken until 12/9. We also will be accepting donations of new items (stocking stuffer type useful items) until 12/7. A simple $15 donation provides a gift card that can mean:• a hot meal• bus fare to a job interview• diapers or hygiene items• a small moment of dignity during a difficult time Your kindness becomes someone’s hope.Your generosity becomes someone’s second chance.
