SUMMARY:2026 Community Warrant Resolution Clinic
DESCRIPTION:The Criminal Justice Coordinating Council (CJCC) is proud to announce that the Community Warrant Resolution Clinic is returning to downtown Baton Rouge. This collaborative initiative\, which brings together multiple local courts and community partners\, provides individuals with outstanding bench warrants an opportunity to resolve their cases\, reschedule court dates\, and avoid potential arrests. \nThe 2026 clinic is scheduled for Friday\, March 27th at 9am\, and will take place at Baton Rouge City Court until 1pm (223 St. Louis Street)\, the 19th Judicial District Court and East Baton Rouge Parish Family Court (300 North Boulevard) until 3pm\, with registration at City Hall (222 St. Louis Street). Participating courts include the 19th Judicial District Court\, East Baton Rouge Parish Juvenile Court\, East Baton Rouge Parish Family Court\, and the Baton Rouge\, Baker\, and Zachary City Courts. This marks the third time multiple courts have come together in a shared downtown location to address a broad range of warrants\, including traffic offenses\, criminal cases (excluding violent felonies)\, and child support matters. \nParticipants will be able to meet with court representatives\, discuss their cases\, and take advantage of the opportunity to resolve issues or reschedule court appearances. The clinic aims to ease the burden on those with bench warrants\, offering an alternative to arrest while ensuring they can address their legal obligations.\nExpungement consultations will also be available. City Parish Government will provide free parking at the River Center West Parking Garage (499 St. Louis Street) for participants. \nParticipants in the 2026 Community Warrant Resolution Clinic are encouraged to register in advance at www.ebrcjcc.org. A help desk will also be available in front of City Hall\, located at 222 St. Louis Street\, to assist individuals with registration on the day of the clinic.

SUMMARY:CAPRI's TRANSPORTATION TEAM MEETING
DESCRIPTION:The CAPRI Transportation Workgroup meets once per month to tackle one of the most critical — and most challenging — reentry needs: reliable transportation. These community leaders are steering the conversation and laying the groundwork for a comprehensive transportation pipeline that ensures returning citizens can get to where they need to go — to work\, to services\, to stability. \nCurrently recruiting new members\, the workgroup is calling on the Capital Region’s best and brightest from the Office of Motor Vehicles\, the Department of Transportation\, public transit\, bicycle vendors\, auto dealers — and yes\, even anyone who can skateboard resources to the table! If you’re involved in helping people move\, this team needs your voice\, your expertise\, and your ideas. \nHelp build a transportation network that works — because access to mobility is access to opportunity. \nTo get involved or for more information\, contact Stacci Tobin: stobin@ebrcjcc.org
