The CAPRI Second Chance Employment Team meets on the first Tuesday of every month, bringing together one of the largest and most action-driven workgroups in the Capital Area. With one in three Louisianans having some type of a record, this team leads one of the most critical missions in our community, connecting returning citizens to meaningful employment and sustainable career pathways.
We partner with employers ready to strengthen their workforce and make a lasting impact. Members gain insight into effective hiring strategies, local workforce trends, and valuable incentives that support second chance employment.
Through this collaborative network, you’ll learn how to access untapped talent, improve retention, and utilize programs such as Federal Bonding, the Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC), Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act (WIOA), On-the-Job Training (OJT), and Incumbent Worker Training.
