Welcome Home Series
- The first thing I recommend is going to get your EBRP Library Card. https://ebr.overdrive.com/support/card
The cards are free and it is a wealth of resources right there at your fingertips. Computers, private rooms, career center, classes, hope! Most libraries are easy to get to on the bus line, and are open until late everyday. USE THE LIBRARY!
Call it ‘your office,’ until you get one of your own. The public libraries in Baton Rouge are some of the best in the nation and can help you. The friendly staff are members of CAPRI and can help you, so don’t be afraid to ask.. You can use a computer and wifi anytime for free, print up to ten copies per day, check out ten books, movies, cd’s everyday, look for jobs, work on your resume! The Career Center is incredible, go say hello. There are private rooms you can use, classes to take, mobile hotspots (which is wifi for your house) you can ‘borrow’, and so much more!!
